Kristina's Favourite TV Show: The Simpsons

My favourite TV show is the Simpsons. When I was a child, my parents would not let my sister and I watch this TV show. But when we visited my Grandparents, my Grandpa would let us watch it. This clip is from the episode entitlted "2 Dozen and 1 Greyhounds". In this episode, Mr. Burns (the evil man) steals the Simpsons' greyhound puppies and wants to make a suit out of their skins. This episode is a parody of the movie "101 Dalmations" and the song itself, "See My Vest" is a parody of a song from the movie "Beauty and Beast" - "Be our Guest".

Here is the original song:

I don't remember exactly when and where I watched this episode for the first time. It may have been at my Grandparents' house or at a friend's house. But my sister and I really enjoy this episode. We like this episode because the song is silly, but very clever. It makes us laugh and we know all the words to it and like to sing along. This song is my favourite from the Simpsons because it is so catchy! My favourite part is when he puts on his hat made from a poodle's head. It's so ridiculous!

I would recommend the Simpsons to everybody! The show is a very good allegory for Americans and life in America. There are many issues that the show discusses in a humerous way, which makes it very interesting to watch. I also like that you have to know a lot about popular culture to get the references made in the show. Even if you don't know a lot about popular culture you will still be entertained!
